I’m a photographer based out of Rochester, MN. I have worked in newspapers in the region for over two decades and have photographed everything from triumphant championship games to tragic car crashes, from sitting presidents to swimming toddlers. And all along the way there have been portraits. Many, many portraits. Many years ago I started shooting weddings and senior portraits and discovered how much fun that is and have slowly grown to doing more and more.

My style and approach is clean and bold, honest and always fun. I have a degree in Fine Art photography and vast experience in photojournalism making for an unusual and successful combination.

My wife, Lisa, likes to tag along to some of my portraits (especially the pets!) and, from time to time, one of my three teen-age kids may come along too. I also have two dogs and a cat, but they aren’t much help on assignment so they stay home!
